My Healing Journey
I could tell you:
- I graduated from Harvard where I won a prestigious teaching award.
- I gave a TED Talk
- I was a professor for 7 years and won multiple teaching awards.
- I have trained and inspired high-level executive clients from all over the world who work at Chevron, Merck, Microsoft, Samsung and several startups around the globe to name just a few.
- I have delivered and developed my own Happiness workshop in 16 countries across 3 continents and traveled to 49 countries thus far.
- I was voted "51 Most Fabulous Global Happiness Leaders" for 2020 by World HRD Congress.
- I have worked WITH clients across 4 continents.
- I was asked to join the Forbes Coaches Council in 2020.
- I am an #IamRemarkable Google facilitator.
I would rather tell you:
In the fall of 2016, I was at the height of my career as a professor in South Korea. I had concurrently been building out my career as a global speaker, sharing my Happiness Workshop WITH incredible humans across the globe. I was even calling myself a Global Happiness Coach. Then in my own personal life, my mom was diagnosed with early onset dementia, and I fell into a deep depression.
The irony was:

Then in my own personal life, my mom was diagnosed with early onset dementia, and I fell into a deep depression.
The irony was:
- I knew all this research and data on science of happiness, positive psychology, neuroscience;
- I could workshop the heck out of all of the research and data on happiness;
- Yet in my own personal life, I couldn't make myself happy.
So I quit my job as an award-winning professor: a job I loved, a job where I had 5 months paid vacation and 4 day work weeks, and got to work WITH incredible students.
And I took the year of 2017 off and in.
I ended up doing some really cool things in hindsight:
And then I was called to:
- Writing my first book WITH vs AT: Two Prepositions that Changed My Life
- Becoming a certified Life Coach and hiring one
- Getting certified in Happiness Coaching and Corporate Happiness Coaching
- Starting a pop-up cafe serving no salt/no refined sugar dishes and desserts
- Taking myself on a women's surf/yoga retreat in Bali
And then I was called to:
- Become certified in the Theta Healing® technique as a practitioner and trainer; become certified in Family Constellations; become certified in Integrative Hypnosis, too.
- Step into my medium and psychic abilities;
- Heal my own depression through this incredible technique;Infuse the incredible techniques in my own work!
Doing a lot of work on myself, beginning my own healing journey, I realized I'd been living my life around the limiting belief of I'm not enough (+ many others). It was never about my mom's dementia diagnosis. It was layers deep. So the first paragraph of my intro here would be what I thought I had to tell you in order to be enough. Now I realize I am enough by just being [a work-in-progmess].
I've since tried 24+ alternative healing modalities and I'm on a mission to bring the tools, techniques, strategies I've learned along my healing journey to the world starting WITH you!
