On Growing (Post-Pandemic) Leadership Training
 Society has taught you:
-There’s only one leader
-They stand at the front of a room
-They speak and everyone listens
-They wear a suit and look professional
 
The problem:
-Only ONE or a few people can be leaders
-It puts a sh*t ton of pressure on those few
-It isn’t inclusive at all
-Other people who don’t fall into this narrowly defined definition don’t get to work on themselves/grow/improve (think: I’m not a leader so I don’t have to try as hard)

The problem:
-You can’t be agile, productive, focus on ROI, and other fancy terms if you don’t have psychological safety in the workplace. PERIOD.
-What no one talks about but is the number 1 thing for high-performing teams? Psychological safety.
-People don’t leave organizations—they leave managers. Why? They don’t feel psychological safe to make mistakes, to fail, and to be human.

​Awareness

  • Based on the initial assessment we will work on bringing awareness to what needs to be looked at
  • The work is centered around values-based exercises and activities
  • ​The goal is to make sure every single human in the organization is on the same starting page 

Day 2
​Acceptance

  • Based on Day 1, we will work on bringing acceptance to what needs to change in order for the organization as a whole to move forward
  • The work will be centered around exercises and activities to acknowledge what has not been said and done thus far
  • ​The goal is to make sure every single human's challenges have been acknowledged so everyone can move forward as an organization

Day 3
Action!
  • Based on days 1 and 2, we will co-create an action plan that encompasses everything that came up over the 2 days
  • This work is centered around values-based exercises and activities
  • ​The goal is to make sure every single human in the organization is on the same action plan page 
  • And remember: we can't act on something we don't accept. We can't accept something we're not aware of.
