On Growing (Post-Pandemic) Leadership Training
Society has taught you:
-There’s only one leader
-They stand at the front of a room
-They speak and everyone listens
-They wear a suit and look professional
The problem:
-Only ONE or a few people can be leaders
-It puts a sh*t ton of pressure on those few
-It isn’t inclusive at all
-Other people who don’t fall into this narrowly defined definition don’t get to work on themselves/grow/improve (think: I’m not a leader so I don’t have to try as hard)

-Your organization needs to be more productive
-Your organization has to focus on ROI
-Other fancy terms (no one really understands)
The problem:
-You can’t be agile, productive, focus on ROI, and other fancy terms if you don’t have psychological safety in the workplace. PERIOD.
-What no one talks about but is the number 1 thing for high-performing teams? Psychological safety.
-People don’t leave organizations—they leave managers. Why? They don’t feel psychological safe to make mistakes, to fail, and to be human.
