Hello awesome human!
Remember when we used to write letters?
Not just text messages, but REAL letters.
Remember that feeling of relief when you would put pen to paper and actually put a stamp on the envelope and send it?
There was something cathartic about the whole process.
When I was in middle school, we had an assignment: Write to Saddam Hussein. It was the 90s. I was living in Hong Kong at the time attending a British school. I created my own stationery, which was par for the course. I would write every one on my own stationery: peace symbol bordered paper. My letter even got featured in the South China Morning Post.
I was famous!
At a World Happiness Summit in Miami in 2018, one of the more moving talks was on forgiveness. I remember going to the bathroom on my hourly pee break and catching some women wiping tears away and others sobbing. Years into my own healing and many of my clients', I realized that one of the bigger things holding us back was our unwillingness to not only forgive others, but forgive ourselves.

What if you could write a letter of forgiveness to yourself or anyone else you'd like to forgive in your life?
I think it could be scarier than writing a letter to Saddam Hussein, but wayyyy more worthwhile. Ok, you wouldn't have to create your own stationery (unless you wanted to, that is), but check out all of the benefits according to this article by the Mayo Clinic:
